I am a multidisciplinary artist based in Sydney, Australia. Working primarily in painting and drawing, I investigate the shifting relationship between memory, place and perception. Beginning with observed landscapes, my paintings evolve through repeated layering, revision and erasure.
Through gestural mark-making and densely worked surfaces, recognisable forms dissolve into atmospheres that sit between recognition and abstraction. Rather than depicting a specific place, the works explore how places are transformed through memory and the fragility of what endures.
